Ten Things Jesus Has Done for Us

Ten Things Jesus Has Done for Us

  1. He became poor that we might become rich.

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9).

  2. He became a servant that we might become saved.

“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28).

  3. He was rejected that we might be become accepted.

“He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:11-12).

  4. He became homeless that we might gain a home in heaven.

“Jesus said to him, ‘The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head’” (Matthew 8:20).

  5. He became hungry that we might become fed.

“I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh” (John 6:51).

  6. He became weary that we might become rested.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matt. 11:28-29).

  7. He was stripped that we might become clothed.

“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ” (Galatians 3:26-27).

  8. He was bound that we might become free.

“He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord” (Luke 4:18-19).

  9. He died that we might live.

“If I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself” (John 12:32).10. He will descend that we will rise up.

  10. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16- 17).
